Government has announced the Sasta Petrol Sasta Diesel Scheme for the people with earning of less than Rs. 40,000.
The federal government has announced Rs. 2,000 per month relief for all the citizen with earning of less than Rs. 40,000 to absorb the inflationary pressure increased by petroleum products price hike.
According to the details households that are already part of the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) will automatically receive Rs. 2,000 under the Prime Minister Sasta Petrol Scheme, while households that are not part of BISP can apply for the programme by sending their Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number to 786 to check for eligibility.
As per details provided by government officials this subsidy will only be transferred to a women head of the household, whose income is less than Rs. 40,000 therefore CNIC should belong to a women only.
Once you apply / register for the Sasta Petrol Scheme by sending your CNIC to 786, you will be informed about your eligibility within three days. As mentioned above, only households will income less than Rs. 40,000 will be considered for the Petrol Relief Package.
