Government of Punjab, Higher Education Department today on 19 September, 2020 announced their Promotion Policy 2020 due to current pandemic situation in the country. According to this policy:
- All candidates who who were to appear in 9th and 11th examinations 2020 shall be allowed to appear only in class 10th and 12th annual examinations 2021 respectively.
- The marks of the candidates of 9th and 10th class shall be calculated as follow:
- Candidates who were to appear in composite secondary school examinations 2020 and could not be examined for 9th class, their 9th class marks should be doubles in reverse order.
- Candidates who have passed 10th class examinations in 2019 and were to appear in failed subjects of 9th class in examination 2020 the marks obtained in 10th class shall be awarded in relevant subjects for 9th class; and
