Punjab Government has decided to restart Murghi Paal Scheme after EId-ul-Azha.
This scheme is running since long time in Punjab. Some news websites including ProPakistani.pk falsely claiming this scheme the initiative of PTI led government. This scheme was underway in all over Punjab since long time before PTI led government highlighted the scheme by its media compaign.
According to the scheme one set consists of five hens and a rooster, with all chickens weighing 900 grams each. The hens usually start laying eggs two months after arriving at their owners’ place, averaging 220 to 250 eggs per year.
These chickens require no special diet and live quite well on leftover kitchen scraps such as fruit and vegetable peels, used tea leaves and residual pieces of bread.
