Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) has announced the Revised syllabus for National Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2022. The syllabus has been finalized after consultation with various stakeholders and it has been ensured that no topic is outside the current syllabus of any board in Pakistan. MDCAT 2022 syllabus is announced after the National Medical and Dental Council’s 12th meeting held on June 27, 2022.
MDCAT syllabus is designed to evaluate the problem solving, critical thinking, and knowledge of natural, behavioral, and social sciences concepts and principles of a candidate required to the study of medicine. MDCAT will be a standardized multiple choice computer based examination. MDCAT will also test the aspirants’ other abilities like intuitive and critical thinking skills.
The weightage of the subjects in MDCAT is changed. As per details, 34% of questions in the MDCAT will be from Biology, 27% from Chemistry, 27% from Physics, 9% from English, and 3% from Logical reasoning. MDCAT paper shall consist of a total of 200 MCQs based on the approved percentage.
