British Council announces scholarship for young women to study a Masters degree at 19 leading UK Universities in STEM fields. Candidates having a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics may apply for the scholarship.
The British Council has launched this scholarship program in partnership with 19 UK universities. The scholarship program is aimed at benefiting women from the Americas, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
Eligibility criteria for the British Council Scholarship for Young Women
Female candidates fulfilling the following eligibility criteria may apply for British council scholarship to study in leading UK Universities:
- Citizens and Residents of the eligible countries in the Americas, South Asia, and East Asia
- Need for financial support
- Bachelor degree in the respective fields
- English Proficiency
- Active in the field with work experience or a proven interest in their subject area

- Special support for mothers
How to apply for the British Council Scholarship for Young Women
Applications for the scholarship program can be submitted directly to the participating universities. Applications will be open in early January 2021.
