at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.

Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan is Ranked 157th in the World & 1st in Pakistan according
to the recently released Times Higher Education Young University Rankings-2021. Previously,
AWKUM was ranked the 2nd best University of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by Higher Education
Commissions (HEC). On the research side, AWKUM has the honour of getting the highest
number of projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under National Research Programs. With so many
achievements in a small span of its life, AWKUM is considered as one of the fastest-growing
public-sector university in the country.
At present, about 12000 students are enrolled in various programs. AWKUM has about 400
highly qualified faculty members out of whom more than 230 are PhDs from various
technologically advanced countries.
The Garden Campus of the university is spread over more than 2000 Kanals of land having state
of the art infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, computer labs, a centralized library,
hostels, two on-campus colleges, a sports complex and many other facilities.
