PM cuts One Holiday for Federal Government Employees

Newly elected Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has started his official engagements Today on April 12, 2022. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met the officers and staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, in which the staff was introduced to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. On this occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that we have come to serve the people, not to waste a single moment, honesty, transparency, diligence, hard work are our guiding principles.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ended two weekly holidays, announcing that only Sunday will be observed as a holiday in government offices. He also changed the working hours of government offices. The government offices will now start operations at 8 AM instead of 10 AM across the country.

PM Shehbaz also announced to increase the minimum wage to Rs. 25,000 and a 10 percent increase in pensions effective from 1 April 2022. He had also urged the business community to give a 10 percent increase to those employees with salaries up to Rs. 100,000.
