The National Assembly of Pakistan passed a bill to dissolve Pakistan Medical Commission and restored Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC). Now the previous practices will be restored with the restoration of PMDC.
With the dissolution of PMC, now the National MDCAT will no more be conducted. As per previous practices, it is expected that provincial MDCATs will be conducted by the respective provincial admitting universities i.e. UHS in Punjab, KMU in KP, and LUMHS in Sindh. Now regarding the fee issue of the students, it is expected that either the fee will be refunded or the same fee will be applicable to all provincial MDCATs.
According to the details, National Licensing Exams NLE is also discontinued.
As provincial universities will conduct their MDCATs, hence the previous syllabus and pattern will be followed by each province. Students will be required to prepare for their respective provincial syllabus only. MDCATs will be conducted on paper as per previous practices.
