Markhor

Wild goat with distinctive curly horns is the national animal of Pakistan. It is known as Markhor. Males have long light-colored fur on their chest and throat. Its horn can be upto 4 ft long.

National flower of Pakistan is Jasmine flower commonly known as Chambeli. It is originating in Asia and shrub has fragrant.

Chakor

Chakors are national birds of Pakistan and Iraq and are considered as sign of good luck in native culture. The word Chakor in Pakistan is derived from Sanskrit word Chakoor which means intense love. The word Chakor is often used in Pakistan and India to refer to someone loved.

Hockey

Hockey is the national game of Pakistan. Pakistan won the World Cup four times in 1971, 1978, 1982 and 1994 respectively. Pakistan also won two times Silver medalist in 1975 and 1990.

Mango

Mangoes, known as the king of fruits, originated in the Indian subcontinent and are scientifically known as Mangifera Indica. It is the national fruit of both India and Pakistan.

Allama Muhammad Iqbal

Muhammad Iqbal, also known as Allama Iqbal, is the National Poet of Pakistan. A poet, philosopher, politician, lawyer, and scholar, Iqbal was born on November 9, 1877, in Punjab, Pakistan, to Kashmiri parents and educated at Scotch Mission College in Sialkot.

Deodar

Deodar or Himalayan Cedar (Cedrus Deodara) is the National Tree of Pakistan. This tree is native to the Himalayas of the sub-continent including Pakistan, Afghanistan and India. In Pakistan it is found at high elevations in Azad Kashmir, Murree Hills, Hazara, Swat, Dir, Tirah and Chitral.

Indus River

Indus River, Tibetan and Sanskrit Sindhu, great trans-Himalayan river of South Asia is the national river of Pakistan. It is one of the longest rivers in the world, with a length of some 2,000 miles (3,200 km).

Urdu

Urdu is national language of Pakistan. Today Urdu is spoken in many countries around the world, including Britain, Canada, the USA, the Middle East and India. In fact there are more Urdu speakers in India than there are in Pakistan.

Shalwar Kameez

The shalwar kameez is national dress of Pakistan and is worn by men and women.
