Dr. Mufti Raghib Hussain Naeemi and Mufti Imran Hanfi issued a Fatwa against such practices of illegally going abroad stating that this is not only unlawful but also against the Islamic teachings. They also emphasises that taking any action that risks one’s life including suicide is strictly prohibited in Shariah.
The fatwa underscores that Islam does not permit ending one’s own life or engaging in acts that could lead to death, regardless of the circumstances. It advises individuals to prioritize legal and safe channels when seeking to travel internationally.
Additionally, the decree declares it impermissible for agents or intermediaries to charge money for facilitating illegal travel. It calls on the government to enact strict measures against those who exploit innocent citizens by endangering their lives through unlawful practices.
