Opposition leader and former prime minister Imran Khan announced the date for another march to Islamabad against the collision government and dissolution of assemblies.

I want people from all to come because this is Jihad, and not politics. I’ve decided and told all my team that we have to be ready to sacrifice our lives.

Imran indicated that the march would convert into a sit-in and continue until his demands are accepted. “We will never under any situation accept them. No matter how long we have to remain in Islamabad we will remain there.”

Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz issued a statement that termed the long march announcement an “Imrani sazish (conspiracy)” against Pakistan.

Former premier Imran Khan, who was ousted in a confidence vote last month was blamed for mishandling the economy.

Pakistan is in dire need of external financial support due to a widening current account deficit and foreign reserves falling below $10.5 billion, equivalent to less than two months of imports.
