    Govt Reveals Total Number of Pakistanis Who Left the Country in 2024

    A total of 727,381 Pakistanis went abroad for employment in 2024, according to the Economic Survey 2024-25 released ahead of the federal budget.

    The report highlights the continued reliance on foreign job markets by the Pakistani workforce, with the Middle East remaining the top destination.

    The survey reveals that over 62% of these workers, or 452,562 individuals, found employment in Saudi Arabia, making it the leading destination for overseas Pakistani workers in 2024.

    Oman was the second most popular choice, attracting 11% of the migrant workforce.

    The United Arab Emirates (UAE) hired 64,130 Pakistanis, accounting for 9% of the total, while Qatar provided jobs to 40,818 individuals, representing 6% of the migrant workers.

    Other notable destinations included Bahrain, which offered employment to 25,198 Pakistanis, and Malaysia, which employed 5,790.
