First Electric Car Introduced by Pakistan on 75th Independence Day

On the eve of 75th Independence Day Pakistan has stepped in the race of Electric Vehicles production. Now Pakistan has introduced its first ever electric car called Nur-E 75. The car is fully designed and developed within the country.

Nur-E 75 Electric hatchback was developed under the coordination and sponsorship of DICE Foundation a US-based NGO run by Pakistanis. Nur-E will be sold under a company called Jaxari whose name was inspired by the Muslim scientist Ismail-al-Jazari.

The was designed by National Art College Lahore and all the components were developed in Pakistan. The battery pack is designed by NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi while the charger modules for the electric vehicle were developed by Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology Karachi.

The vehicle is equipped with 35kWh battery set. The vehicle can travel to 210 km with single charge and reach upto maximum speed of 120 km per hour. A 220 volt connection is required for charging and takes upto 8 hours to fully charge the batteries.

The Estimated Price of Nur-E-75 electric vehicle in Pakistan will be 2 million PKR.
