Federal Minister for Energy during a press conference commented that Complete end of load sheeding is not possible, but we will try to reduce the intensity of load shedding as Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif took the notice of intensified loadshedding in the country. Prime Minister ordered the authorities concerned to limit the duration of load shedding only two hours a day.
According to the National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC), the country faces a shortfall of over 7,300MW, while power demand has increased to 27,300MW against supplies of 20,000MW.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has set a blame of intensified loadshedding due to the policies of the previous PTI government.
