Government to open Universities from Mid of July

The Federal Government has been considering reopening universities all across the country from the 15th of July, reports Dunya News. The outbreak of the coronavirus closed down all educational institutes, including universities all across the globe. Universities then started conducted online classes – some even took their exams online. Students across the country had mixed feelings towards this new setup-some were even unable to attend due to internet connectivity issues. Huawei & GIK signed MoU to Start BS in Artificial Intelligence

GIK and Huawei Technologies Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. signed an MoU to launch the pilot undergraduate degree program for Artificial Intelligence in Pakistan. The program is the first of its kind enterprise-academia partnership and serves as a milestone in an already successful four year-long partnership that started with the establishment of the Huawei ICT Academy at GIK in 2016.  The signing ceremony was attended by the Rector GIK, Mr. Jehangir Bashar, Executive Director, SOPREST, and Senior Member of the Board of Governors of GIK, Mr. Shakil Durrani, Managing Director Huawei EBG Pakistan, Mr. Gao Weijie and other respective members from both organizations.…
