Punjab government is taking measures to digitize the retirement system of government employees, starting with the automation of the settlement process of retiring School Education Department (SED) employees. Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) DG IT-Operations, Faisal Yousaf, apprised the minister of the progress made on the development of the online retirement system of SED. During the meeting, the minister said teachers would not have to bribe after the digitization of the retirement process.

Karachi University (KU) is going to hold entry test on Saturday and Sunday for the next academic year 2021 for more than 11,000 candidates despite the second wave of corona virus. HEC has sanctioned the universities to conduct entry tests, while the universities have been directed to ensure strict compliance of COVID-19 SOPs. Reportedly, 550 applicants will take KU’s entrance examination for the Master’s degree program on Saturday, and 10,500 will take the Bachelor’s degree program test on Sunday. A total of 2,000 seats are being offered for the university’s undergraduate programs in 19 of its departments.

As per the Order dated 27th November 2020 of the Sindh High Court in CP No.-D 6021 of2020 the PMC has been directed to ensure that the results of the MDCAT exam held on29th November 2020 and the one to be held on 13th December 2020 for students whowere Covid-19 positive “must be announced together”.
