Microsoft has yet to officially confirm it is in the works, there have been several hints pointing to Windows 12 expected to arrive in fall 2024. One of these came at the Build 2023 developer conference in the form of a video screenshot that referred to a “next generation” of Windows. YouTube is once again conducting an experiment that targets anyone using an ad blocker. Like before, users are warned that they should turn off their blocking software. This time, however, there’s a punishment for not complying: being limited to just three video views. A Redditor spotted the YouTube warning a couple of days ago and posted the pop-up message. It states in bold letters that “Video player will be blocked after 3 videos,” followed by an explanation that YouTube playback will be blocked unless the site is whitelisted or the ad blocked disabled. Eugen Rochko is the CEO of Mastodon — the open-source decentralized competitor to Twitter. It’s where a lot of Twitter users have gone in our post-Elon Musk era. The idea of Mastodon is that you don’t join a single platform that one company controls. You join a server, and that server can show you content from users across the entire network. If you decide you don’t like the people who run your server or you think they’re moderating content too strictly, you can leave and take your followers and social graph with you. Think about it like email, and you’ll…

You need an account just to read tweets now, and you’ll have to pay for Twitter Blue “verified” access to see more than 600 posts per day Elon Musk continues to blame Twitter’s new limitations on AI companies scraping “vast amounts of data” as he announced new “temporary” limits on how many posts people can read. Now unverified accounts will only be able to see 600 posts per day, and for “new” unverified accounts, just 300 in a day. The limits for verified accounts (presumably whether they’re bought as a part of the Twitter Blue subscription, granted through an organization, or verification…
