An aircraft of India’s Indigo Airlines made an emergency landing at Pakistan’s Karachi airport on Sunday due to a technical problem. The plane was travelling from Sharjah, UAE to Hyderabad Deccan in India. This is the second Indian airline to make an emergency landing in Karachi in 2 weeks. The government has approved 1.2 MGD (million gallon per day) water desalination plant for Gwadar with help of Chinese grant of over Rs.2 billion to provide fresh potable water for the people of the Gwadar city. China-Pakistan Joint Research Center on Earth Sciences will establish a weather observation center at the Karakorum International University in Gilgit. A decision to this effect was taken during a meeting between Vice Chancellor of Karakoram International University Dr. Attaullah Shah and Director of China Pakistan Research Center in Islamabad. Government has approved the request of bike makers and industry stakeholders to produce plastic body motorcycles due to rise in cost of metal.
